GAME NIGHT ANNOUNCEMENT
A lot of you have been waiting for this news for a while, so we are delighted to announce that game night will return as of Tuesday, 21st July 6-10pm in the back room of The Three Tuns, Honiton, and every Tuesday from then on.
In order to make this as safe as possible for everyone, the club committee has met with the pub management and we request everyone attending adheres to the following carefully planned measures. It is vital we strive to maintain these measures to allow the club to continue safely.
- Please do NOT attend if you are ill or showing any symptoms of COVID-19.
- One of the committee members will be operating a sign in sheet each week. You will be asked for your name and telephone number for test and trace purposes. This is a condition of entry.
- We have exclusive use of the back room. The tables will be arranged to allow for gamers to sit at least 1 meter apart from each other, with plenty of tablespace in between. Please respect this distancing, it is up to us to 'self police' and keep each other safe.
- This will mean by its very nature we will have less table space on offer than before. This means 'booking in advance' is important. We will set aside each week at least 1 table for D&D, 1 table for board games and 2 blood bowl games can take place on the pool table. It may mean those with ongoing RPG campaigns have to alternate weeks so everyone can have a go.
- Please DO NOT start moving tables without discussing with others first. Again, spacing is important.
- The room MUST be left neat and tidy when we finish. Use the bin bags provided.
- Entry and exit will be via the side door, none of our members are to go through the main bar, where there is a seperate one way system in place.
- There are hand sanitiser stations outside the toilet doors. Additionally, the club will be providing 4 hand sanitiser bottles (1 per table) and a disinfectant spray and wipe if you wish to use them. Use of these are encouraged.
- There will be a pub staff member manning the side door to take our orders, this means you do not need to go the bar. Please consider supporting the pub as they have been very supportive of us in providing this staff member, so we can negate the need for members to enter the bar.
- Once you're in, you're in. You should stay at the table you pick for the rest of the night.
- On the above, the pub hope to be offering a £5 food menu. All items priced a fiver and there will be a variety of snacks and meals available. Again, show your support if you can.
- No shouting or loud games, we don't need mouth spray.
- Masks are encouraged, but aren't mandatory.
With these measures, we can safely resume game night. If you feel comfortable, please join us on the 21st for some tabletop fun. We all need it after the last four months!
